Server rules, pack limits, and Discord guidelines for Amber Coast.

Server Rules

Core gameplay rules for Amber Coast.

1

No cheating (Cheating/Hacking/Exploiting)

The use of any third-party programs, cheats, or deliberate exploitation of game bugs to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.

2

Chat etiquette and no toxicity

Respect for other players is required. Name-calling, harassment, racism, and general toxic behavior in the in-game chat will be punished.

3

No stream sniping and revealing locations

Using a live broadcast to target a streamer, harass them, or disrupt their live stream is strictly prohibited and results in a permanent ban. Publicly sharing coordinates and revealing the location of any players in chat is also forbidden.

4

No mixpacking and overpacking

Group limits are pre-set by the game. In the case of overpacking, Deino has an exception, but only while hunting a larger dinosaur/pack located near the shore.

5

No Combat Logging (Logging out during combat)

Attempts to save a dinosaur via storage or entombing are forbidden.

6

No intentional suicide (Body Denying)

Drowning yourself in water or jumping off a cliff to prevent other players from eating your body is forbidden.

Exception: Semi-aquatic dinosaurs can escape into the water.

7

No Revenge Killing

Returning with a new dinosaur to the exact same spot just to get revenge on your killer can only lead to never-ending wars.

8

No nest spawning for sabotage

Spawning in a nest to kill your siblings, “sell out” the nest's location, or commit any other sabotage is forbidden.

9

No active hunting by herbivores (Herbi Aggro / KOS)

Herbivores are not predators. Premeditated attacks on carnivores (e.g., when they are resting, healing, eating, or simply passing by at a safe distance) are strictly forbidden. Forming herbivore groups to “clear” the map of other players will be punished. Herbi aggression is allowed only in the context of:

  • Self-defense and defending members of your herd/nest.
  • Defending your own living space (e.g., a predator comes too close to your food bush or dangerously violates your comfort zone).
10

Body guarding by herbivores (Bodycamping)

For predators, fighting over carcasses is a constant part of the gameplay and a natural element of survival. Herbivores, however, do not eat meat (Galli and Beipi count as herbi). Sitting near a corpse, even that of your herd mate, just to block predators from having a meal ruins the gameplay and is treated as pure spite. When the fight is over, go your own way and leave the body.

  • Building a nest near a body to gain an excuse to defend it is considered a deliberate attempt to bypass this rule and is subject to punishment.

Discord Rules

Amber Coast Discord community rules.

1

General guidelines

Basic guidelines for everyone on Amber Coast Discord.

  • Every user should follow the rules on Discord.
  • Not knowing the rules does not mean you can break them.
  • Topics not listed here may be reviewed individually by staff.
  • Undermining staff decisions or ignoring warnings may lead to restrictions.
  • Staff may update these guidelines without prior notice.
2

Community behavior

Any behavior involving hatred, provocation, rudeness, false accusations, blackmail, stalking, ridicule, or verbal harassment is forbidden. Such actions will be strictly punished.

3

Avatar and username

Your avatar and username must not violate social standards. They must not insult, mock, or ridicule faith or beliefs, depict sexual acts, or contain Nazi, communist, or fascist content. Violating this rule results in a verbal warning; if the user does not make the change, they receive a second-level warn (6h ban).

4

Impersonation

Impersonating other players will be punished with a kick, then a ban. Impersonating the administration results in an immediate ban.

5

Cheating

We do not tolerate any form of cheating (using cheats, scripts, or illegal software). This rule applies unconditionally, regardless of whether you play on our server or another. If the administration receives credible evidence of your cheating, you will be punished with an immediate ban.

6

Voice channels

If you join a voice channel and the people present ask you to leave because you are disrupting their gameplay, respect their request. Otherwise, you may receive a timeout for disrupting others' gameplay.

7

Private matters

Private matters, conflicts, and discussions between users should be resolved via private messages.

8

Private wars

Conducting private wars without reason is forbidden. If this rule is violated, both parties will be punished.

9

Advertising

Advertising other servers or channels on our Discord without explicit administration approval is forbidden. Posting a link without approval may result in a warning.

10

Announcements and private invites

For announcements that request private contact (e.g., “DM me”, “more info in PM”), the administration reserves the right to review the matter individually, especially when the announcement is ambiguous or when other users react negatively or suspiciously. In such cases, the announcement may be treated as an attempt to bypass the advertising ban.

11

Inviting to other servers

Inviting users to other Discord servers via private messages (DM), voice channels (VC), or statuses is treated as a deliberate attempt to bypass the advertising ban. Remember that you never know who you are writing to. Many players are loyal to our community and share evidence of such conversations with us. If your activity on the server mainly consists of “pulling” players to private channels, it will be considered harmful to the community and punished with a ban.

12

Malware

Sending links or files containing any malicious software is forbidden.

13

Channel topics

Please respect channel topics. Read their descriptions.

14

Spam

Excessive spam in text channels will result in a kick, then a ban.

15

Low-effort posts

Meaningless posts that contribute nothing to the discussion will be removed, and their author may be punished.

16

Administration

Publicly defaming the administration and deliberately misrepresenting facts for your own benefit will be punished. If you disagree with an administration decision, contact them via ticket.

17

Complaints and administration contact

Rules for filing complaints and cooperating with the administration.

  • Complaints without evidence will not be reviewed and will be closed. Filing false accusations is punishable.
  • People submitting remarks about cases, complaints, or conflicts should do so in good faith.
  • Ignoring administration requests may result in a kick from the server.
  • If you need to contact the administration, use the ticket channel.
